We are delighted to announce that D-IAS Chair of Medicin, Professor Kaare Christensen and D-IAS Co-Director and Chair of Physics, Professor Francesco Sannino have been elected members of the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters.
Kaare Christensen is the Director of the Danish Aging Research Center and of the Danish Twin Registry. He has been heading large-scale aging studies in Denmark with a focus on life course studies of health and aging. You can read a short interview with Kaare here http://www.royalacademy.dk/da/Members/Christensen-Kaare
Francesco Sannino has been a researcher in Denmark for almost twenty years, and his contributions to the fields of theoretical high energy physics are both numerous and ground-braking. In 2015, he was elected to the Finnish Academy for Science and Letters, making him one of the very few researchers to be a member of two such academies.
