"Playing Chemistry on DNA and RNA"
An outline of the research activities at the Nucleic Acid Center and the Biomolecular Nanoscale Engineering Center will be described. Chemistry offers the opportunity of studying analogues of the biomolecules of Nature – for example with the aim of understanding and treating diseases. With this as an overarching theme, our research on modified variants of DNA and RNA – the biomolecules used for information storage – will be discussed and put into perspectives.
